DNS controls how your domain connects to websites, email, and other services. DNS management determines where traffic is routed when someone visits your domain.

How DNS Is Managed

DNS management depends on whether you have an active DNS hosting package.

Without DNS Hosting

If you do not have a DNS hosting package:

  • You can only configure nameservers
  • DNS records are managed externally
  • Changes must be made at the DNS provider

Nameservers determine which provider controls DNS records for the domain.

With DNS Hosting

If DNS hosting is enabled, you can manage records directly.

  • A records
  • CNAME records
  • MX records
  • TXT records

DNS changes may take time to propagate globally.

Common Problems & Fixes

  • If a site doesn’t load, verify nameservers are correct.
  • If email fails, check MX records.
  • If changes don’t apply, allow time for propagation.
