Understanding Your Hosting Services

This article explains how hosting services are structured and displayed in your client account, and what each service means. It is intended for customers managing their services through the WHMCS client area.

Before continuing, make sure you know how to log in by reviewing Accessing Your Client Area.

What Are Hosting Services?

A hosting service represents an active product you have purchased. Each service operates independently and has its own billing, configuration, and status.

Hosting services define:

  • What type of website or application you can run

  • Which control panel and features are available

  • How billing and renewals are handled

If you have multiple domains or plans, you will see multiple services listed.

Where to Find Your Hosting Services

To view your hosting services:

  1. Log in to the Client Area

  2. Select Services from the main navigation

  3. Click My Services

This page shows all services associated with your account, including active and inactive items.

Understanding the Service List

Each service entry includes key information:

  • Service Name – The hosting plan you purchased

  • Domain – The domain assigned to the service

  • Status – Active, Pending, Suspended, or Cancelled

  • Next Due Date – When the service renews

  • Billing Cycle – Monthly, annually, or other term

Clicking a service opens its detailed management page.

What You Can Do From a Service Page

Inside an individual hosting service, you may be able to:

  • View service status and plan details

  • Access the hosting control panel

  • Reset passwords or credentials

  • Review usage or limits

  • Upgrade or request cancellation

Available options depend on the type of hosting plan you purchased.

Common Hosting Service Types

You may see one or more of the following services:

  • Shared Hosting – Multiple sites share server resources

  • WordPress Hosting – Optimized specifically for WordPress sites

  • WooCommerce Hosting – Tuned for online stores

  • Add-on Services – SSL certificates, backups, or security features

Each service must be managed separately, even if they use the same domain.

Common Problems & Fixes

  • If a service shows “Pending,” wait for activation or check your email for setup instructions.

  • If a service is “Suspended,” review unpaid invoices and resolve the balance.

  • If control panel access is missing, open the service and use the provided login link or reset credentials.

  • If the wrong domain is assigned, verify the domain listed in the service details.
