Upgrades, Downgrades, and Cancellations

This article explains how to change your hosting services, including upgrading, downgrading, or requesting a cancellation. Each action affects billing and service availability differently, so it’s important to understand how they work before making changes.

Understanding Service Changes

Upgrades, downgrades, and cancellations are handled at the individual service level. If you have multiple services, changes must be made separately for each one.

Upgrading a Service

An upgrade allows you to move to a higher-tier plan with more resources or features.

To request an upgrade:

  1. Log in to the Client Area
  2. Go to ServicesMy Services
  3. Select the service you want to upgrade
  4. Choose the Upgrade or Change Plan option, if available

Any price difference may be billed immediately or applied to your next invoice, depending on the upgrade type.

Downgrading a Service

A downgrade moves your service to a lower-tier plan with fewer resources.

Downgrades typically take effect at the end of the current billing cycle to avoid service disruption.

To request a downgrade:

  1. Log in to the Client Area
  2. Open the service you want to change
  3. Select the Upgrade or Change Plan option
  4. Choose the lower-tier plan

Any changes will be reflected on future invoices.

Requesting a Cancellation

Cancellations are handled manually to prevent accidental data loss.

To cancel a service, you must open a support ticket requesting the cancellation.

When submitting the ticket, include:

  • The service or domain name you want to cancel
  • Whether the cancellation should be immediate or at the end of the billing cycle
  • Any relevant details or questions

Once processed, you will receive confirmation before the service is cancelled.

Important Notes About Cancellations

  • Cancelled services cannot be recovered
  • All data associated with the service may be permanently removed
  • Unused time is not refunded unless explicitly stated

Always back up your data before requesting a cancellation.

Common Problems & Fixes

  • If you don’t see upgrade options, the service may not support self-service plan changes.
  • If a downgrade isn’t available, contact support for confirmation.
  • If a cancellation wasn’t processed, verify that a support ticket was submitted.
  • If billing continues after cancellation, confirm the requested cancellation date.
