Databases and files are core components of your website. Files store your website content, while databases store dynamic data such as user accounts, posts, and settings. These are managed through the Enhance Control Panel.

Accessing Databases and Files

Database and file management is handled from the control panel associated with your hosting service.

1. Log in to the Client Area
2. Go to Services → My Services
3. Select the hosting service you want to manage
4. Click Login to Control Panel

Managing Files

Website files include HTML, PHP, images, themes, plugins, and other assets.

Common file-related tasks include:

• Uploading and downloading files
• Editing files using the file manager
• Organizing folders and directories
• Setting file and folder permissions

Changes to files usually take effect immediately.

Managing Databases

Databases are commonly used by content management systems such as WordPress.

From the control panel, you can:

• Create and delete databases
• Create database users and passwords
• Assign users to databases
• Access database management tools

Keep database credentials secure and avoid sharing them publicly.

Backups and Safety

Before making major changes to files or databases, it is strongly recommended to create a backup.

Backups allow you to restore your site if something goes wrong during an update or configuration change.

Common Problems & Fixes

• If files don’t update, clear your browser cache and verify the correct directory.
• If a site shows a database error, confirm database credentials are correct.
• If you can’t access a database, check user permissions.
• If files are missing, restore from a backup if available.
